For Therapists
Therapists are required to check in with clients one to two times per day (five days per week) during their scheduled business hours and respond to client messages within 24 hours. Some client plans also include weekly live online 50 minute sessions.
What you earn will depend on your time commitment, the number of clients you are servicing, and the plans to which your clients are subscribed. Some therapists utilize the SmartCounseling.com platform part time to supplement their income while others utilize the platform for full time work.
The first step is to fill out the online therapist application. Once your application is received, our onboarding specialist will contact you within 1 business day or sooner, to either approve you for training or follow up to get additional information. Once approved for training, you will go through the SmartCounseling.com orientation and training taught by a board certified tele-mental health specialist. The training consists of self-directed online videos that address best practices for delivering traditional behavioral healthcare online. Upon successful completion of all documents and training, you will be given access to your own private dashboard and session room and assigned clients. While you build your caseload, you may work with a SmartCounseling.com advising therapist, who will help and advise you as needed.
